Pain Relief After Operation
Osteopathic Treatment after an Operation can Provide Helpful Pain Relief. Here's the Evidence.

The Osteopathic profession is working hard to build up its evidence base. A little while ago Osteopathic researchers in Philadelphia conducted a "randomised double-blind controlled trial" into how effective Osteopathy is in providing pain relief immediately after a major operation. The operation the researchers chose was a total hysterectomy. It's a big operation and if osteopathy can provide pain relief in this situation, then it's reasonable to suppose that it will provide similar pain relief following many other forms of surgery.
