Graduation is not the end of an Osteopath's studies: in fact it is just the beginning.

During July I completed the first semester of Victoria University's brand new One Year "Graduate Certificate in Neonatal and Infant Manual Therapy".   Now, that's a mouthful of a Title, I know, but it's a GREAT COURSE.  Being in a postgraduate environment amongst 30 or so highly educated and experienced colleagues is an intensely rich and rewarding experience.

Last week I was privileged to be invited to be Guest Lecturer to the Osteopathic Students at Southern Cross University in Lismore.

We looked at how often people come to our Clinics in a state of Stress, and some of the special techniques Osteopaths use to relax a stressed nervous system, helping to take the tension out of joints and muscles.  The students got to try these out on one another during our practical session and, as you can imagine, all were much more relaxed by the end of the class than at the start!
